On Good Friday, April 18th, at 6:30pm, we’ll observe Tenebrae, a powerful service in the United Methodist tradition. "Tenebrae" means "shadows" or "darkness," and in this service, we gradually extinguish candles, representing the deepening darkness surrounding Jesus’ final moments on the cross. Through scripture readings and hymns, we’ll reflect on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus, making this a somber but meaningful time to remember his ultimate act of love.
